Unapologetically ambitious with a passion for inspiring.
A twenty-something graphic designer, working professional and mentor enthusiast living in the charming state of Wisconsin. Motivated by a love of design, I seek to inspire those around me. After several years working – at advertising agencies, in-house, volunteering on the board of directors at AIGA Wisconsin and owning a freelance business – and meeting hundreds of other creatives, I have a diverse background in design, brand strategy and mentoring others in the industry.
I first found my passion for educating with my clients; teaching them to work with a designer for the first time, educating on design terms and branding applications. Showing how to implement their new brand into all aspects of their business has been a crucial point in developing relationships with my clients.
As I currently serve on the board of directors for AIGA Wisconsin, my passion for mentoring and educating has grown with fellow design peers and design students still navigating college. My experience serving as a board member has quickly taught me that the creative & graphic design industry is very male-dominated – leaving many female creatives doubting their talents, lacking in leadership positions and discouraged to work for themselves. Through various experiences, I met several like-minded entrepreneurial, creative women who expressed interest in learning new things, but discovered they would prefer to learn from another female and had a hard time finding someone they could relate to.
That’s why I created
The Design Blonde.
The Design Blonde allows creatives to move past their imposter syndrome and own their careers with confidence. Our mission is to empower creative females and entrepreneurs to build their own success and give them the tools and knowledge they need to move forward in their businesses. It also aims to inspire students and young professionals who are entering the industry.
